There is a card in my wallet which says I am an architect. The word 'architect' can mean different things to different people. When used in its singular form, it tends to relate to the design of the structures we inhabit, toil in, and play in.
But the assumptions people make about an Architect's role, personality, disposition, politics, responsibilities, and capabilities are about as varied as architecture itself.
What it means to me is simple. I study the physical spaces we live in and when given the opportunity, I make an effort to positively affect those that will encounter the spaces that I design.
I am also a musician, a photographer, a gourmand, and a sailor.
